In a minute
  1. Book your session from «My sessions», using the expert's own available times.
  2. The team confirms the time within a business day, and you join from the platform 10 minutes before.
  3. You can reschedule once; cancelling returns your hours to your balance.
  4. Afterwards, read the expert's summary and your next steps in «My sessions».
A session with an expert

An expert session is a live audio and video appointment with an expert from the Mumtalakat team, on a topic you choose. It suits project owners preparing their listing and buyers reviewing a project before they decide. Download the expert session guide (PDF) if you want a copy to keep.

  • You book it from “My sessions”, from the expert’s own available times.
  • You join it inside Mumtalakat, with no Google Meet and no extra app.
  • You read afterwards the expert’s summary and your next steps in “My sessions”.

Open Tools → My sessions. You pick a topic about presenting your project: presenting your numbers, market strategy, documents and licences, or your buyer pitch.

Open My sessions. Buyer topics are different, such as reading the project’s numbers, because a buyer’s session is about what they review before buying.

  1. Pick the topic

Choose what you want to ask about. If you pick “Other”, describe your topic briefly so we can match the right expert.

In the app: Home → My sessions → Book a session → Topic → What would you like to ask about? (buyers: Account & settings → My sessions)

  2. Pick length, day and time

The length is 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours. Times are in Riyadh time and come from the expert’s own schedule.

Illustration: length, then day, then a time from the expert's schedule.

In the app: Home → My sessions → Book a session → Time → Session length, Pick a day, Pick a time

  3. Confirm the booking

Your request goes to our team, who confirm the time within a working day, and you get a notification. Until then it shows as “waiting for confirmation”.

Illustration: until the team confirms it, it stays waiting for confirmation.

In the app: Home → My sessions → Book a session → Confirm

Each expert has their own schedule: their working hours each day, their leave, and the notice they need. A time only shows if at least one expert is free for the whole length, is not on leave, and has no other session overlapping it (with 15 minutes between two sessions). The default notice is one full day, and the expert can change it. If an expert changes their schedule, the times you see change straight away.

Project owners

Paid plans include yearly consulting hours; the number depends on the plan. Each session’s length comes off your balance. Pricing

Buyers

Buyer plans don’t include consulting hours. You buy hours yourself with the “Buy hours” button on the page, then book from them.

  • Extra hours: anyone can buy hours whenever they need, separate from the plan. They show in your balance once payment completes.
  • Your balance: shown on the page, and each booking takes its length from it. If it runs out, booking is blocked until you add hours.
  • Cancelled or rejected: the session’s hours go back to your balance automatically.
  1. Wait for the room to open

The room opens 10 minutes before the start. Before that, the join button is locked.

  2. Join from the platform

From “My sessions”, or from the bar at the top of any Mumtalakat page with a “Join now” button. If the expert is already in the room, the bar says so.

In the app: Home → My sessions → Join the meeting

  3. Check your device

Allow the browser to use the camera and microphone when it asks, then join. The expert is alerted the moment you enter if they aren’t there yet.

  • Audio and video, and a chat that is saved with the session.
  • Sending files: PDF, image, Word, Excel or PowerPoint, up to 50 MB each.
  • Screen sharing, which works from a computer only.

The room stays open until the session’s length is up, and closes for both sides 2 minutes after.

  • Rescheduling: once only, and at least a day before the session. The booking then goes back to “waiting for confirmation” until the team confirms the new time.
  • Expert is late: if 10 minutes pass and the expert hasn’t joined, you can reschedule without it counting as your one change.
  • Cancelling: from the session card before it starts; its hours return to your balance.
  • After that: if your chance to reschedule has passed, contact support.
  • Rate your session: an overall rating, and whether you’d recommend the expert.
  • Read the summary: when the expert sends it, you find it in “My sessions” with its points and your next steps, and you get a notification.
  • Recording: if your session was recorded, it appears on the session page, view only with no download. Subscribers can watch it, and it is deleted after 90 days. The summary stays.
  • Another session: use “Book again”, with the same expert if you like.
Is the session held on Google Meet?

No. It is held in the Mumtalakat room in your browser. Only the intro meeting with the team is on Google Meet; you’ll find it in Meetings & Bookings.

When do I get the time confirmed?

The team confirms it within a working day and you get a notification. Then the join button appears on the session card.

Why can't I find an open time?

Only times when an expert is free for the whole length show. Try a shorter length or another day; the default notice is a full day before the start.

Do I need software or an app?

No. A computer or phone browser is enough, with camera and microphone allowed.

Can I prepare my question before the session?

Yes. From the “Your session” card on your home page you can write your question and tick what you’ve prepared. It is saved for you.
